Chapter 6: Building Your Connected Learning Community
Chapter 6 of The Connected Educator emphasizes the importance of growing your network to create a sense of belonging while also learning from others and vice-versa. When speaking of connected learning environments, we have to keep in mind the importance of belonging and the flow of information. Young professionals in the process of graduating or building their careers can learn from this chapter. It provides a sense of clarity to the reader and highlights the benefits of being part of this module as it promotes sense of belonging, continued education and also focuses on learning outside of a classroom setting.
For Marketing Enthusiasts:
Within Marketing it is important to always foster relationship with both clients and mentors. In order for a Marketing campaign to be successful, as a marketer you have to gain as much information as possible to provide the best service to aid with the designated goals. This field requires your full attention to detail and being able to bridge acquired knowledge and experience to the specific company you work with. In order to do so one should be able to build connections and be open to learning while also sharing your knowledge with clients and people who may not have been exposed to some common terms before.
As an emerging professional, I place the utmost importance and application of the book to mentorship. Personally I have a network of mentors from personal, professional, and social I aim to learn and foster those relationship as they help me evolve as an individual within different aspects of my life.
Personally, I have seen how Chapter 6 has been present in my personal and professional life without knowing the terminology. I have been able to grow overall as a student, friend, brand marketer and overall leader within my different positions. Keep in mind that everyone's approach to information and its application is different, but the one thing to keep in mind is how you will take this information and grow from it.

Hey Genesis! Great post. It is so critical for all professions to create networks and connected learning environments. Marketing professionals also need to build learning communities and you did a great job of discussing that.
